Dr. Taylor McInnes, R. Psych.

Dr. Taylor McInnes is a registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist based in Calgary, Alberta. She offers individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and psychological assessment services to adults of all ages in Calgary, Edmonton, and throughout Alberta.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an evidence-based treatment that helps people move through emotional suffering, reduce symptoms, form more satisfying interpersonal relationships, and find more meaning in their lives.
You may have a clear idea of what you would like to work on or what is causing you distress, or you may be experiencing a more vague sense of unease, discomfort, or dissatisfaction in your life or relationships. Psychotherapy can be helpful in either case. Dr. McInnes will actively work with you to formulate an understanding of your concerns and identify ways in which therapy can assist you in moving toward your goals.
Dr. McInnes offers cognitive, psychoeducational, and psychological (psycho-diagnostic, personality functioning) assessments.
Assessments are especially helpful for complex cases, and can provide comprehensive formulations to guide treatment planning. They are also often required to gain access to various work or academic accommodations.
Couples therapy can help couples improve communication, increase intimacy and emotional connection, manage conflict, and move through difficult life events or stressors.
Dr. McInnes works with each couple to determine shared goals, to understand problematic dynamics, and to learn skills and new ways of being with each other to help them move toward their desired relationship state or to deal with current challenges.
